 A. C. Freeman House
If you are looking for beautiful historic architecture, look no further! The A.C. Freeman House was built in the early 20th century and provides an excellent example of early Victorian Architecture. This home is even listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks.

While the home is currently owned by the City of Punta Gorda, it was originally built by Augustus Freeman in the early 1900s. Augustus was an important figure in Punta Gorda for many years. He was a successful businessman and owned a hardware store and a citrus grove. He also served his community as a tax collector and councilman, and was elected as the mayor, county sheriff, and city commissioner.

This historic home was moved to its present location and restored in 2006. The house is open to the public and can be walked through, often with commentary by a local museum docent.
