 Blanchard House Museum
The Blanchard House Museum is a museum of African American History and Culture of Charlotte County, and is a must-see for everyone!

The museum hosts five permanent exhibits and showcases a special exhibit yearly. Each exhibit highlights a different era of African American history for learners of all ages to explore.

In addition to the regular exhibits, the Blanchard House Museum also offers different educational events throughout the year. These include lectures, talks and classes. The classes are offered through the Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida SouthWestern State College.

The Blanchard House Museum wants to make sure that all students are able to learn and offers special programs to help. School students can get help from the museum in writing a report and selecting a subject and research material, while home schoolers are able to use Skype to experience the museum from home and take online courses and lectures.

Be sure to set aside an afternoon to visit the Blanchard House Museum to soak in the history and learn from their amazing exhibits.
