Urfer Family Park

 Urfer Family Park
Urfer Family Park was once 55 acres of land owned by the Wilson family. The Urfer Family purchased this land to keep it from development. The Urfer family Park has since become the first Gold LEED-certified park.

This park still holds the home of the original Wilson family from 1905. Self-guided tours are available to experience the life of old-world Florida. Cattle can still be seen grazing by the park's edges, a great remembrance of the park's roots.

This beautiful park has four playgrounds for toddlers to teenagers to enjoy, with picnic tables nearby for parents to watch their children or guests to enjoy an afternoon snack.

A scenic 1-mile trail leads visitors and locals on an unpaved, pine Flatwoods-covered journey. Keep an eye out for some of the common animals that roam the area, such as foxes, tortoises, and migratory birds. A fitness trail is also available for use and has different outdoor fitness equipment scattered through it.

A wooden boardwalk winds its way through Florida's wetlands. At the same time, picnic pavilions are available to rent for organized events, corporate meetings, or family reunions.

Urfer Family Park is pet-friendly but advises guests to pack out any garbage they pack in or that is acquired during their visit.
